YES! We have backup equipment in every truck. Actually two complete setups per truck and two laptops ready to go for your event. We do not over book or solid book any event date. When you book Russell sound lab that is what you get we do not sub-contract out other DJ businesses.
YES! We have a video in our show room of us in action or we can setup a pre-arranged and client approved event for you to visit.
We rarely book an event without meeting a couple in person. If you are planning your wedding from out of town, we can always talk with you over the phone or through email. We are also flexible on when we can meet. A lot of our meetings take place in the evenings but we are available during the day and some weekends during the off-season.
YES! We have lots of ideas to make your reception GREAT! Our reception planning and coordination is included in your package. First, we give you a detailed reception planner for the couple to work on together. Then, closer to the wedding, we sit down with you face-to-face and help you come up with the agenda for the entire reception. During your reception, we coordinate the entire evening so you can simply relax and have a great time with your guests.
We charge a flat-rate fee for the package that you choose. We’re your DJ for the night.
The contracted fee doesn’t need to be paid until 2 weeks before your reception. We accept cash and checks. 4% fee for using credit cards.
YES! It includes all of your reception information and the fees you will expect to pay. We keep it simple in wording and eliminate fine print and legal jargon.
YES! We actually update monthly in all areas of music, karaoke and videos!
Actually we encourage it! We are more than happy to play any special requests. As your DJ it is our job to make the planning process easy. If you give us a few songs you really like we can pick out other ones that will go well with your requests. During the dancing at your wedding it is our job to read the crowd and play the music that keeps them on the dance floor. Our goal is to have a fun dance floor and a fun filled time for all ages to remember for years to come.
We offer just about every type of music. Our music ranges from the big band era to today’s top 40 hits. Since we specialize in weddings, we will usually create a mix of music for all ages. Our songs are “Clean Radio Edits” so your guests will not hear any explicit lyrics. We work with you ahead of time for your personal requests and take requests that evening as well.
No, we don’t have any additional inputs for a dvd video or for a live performance to plug into. Furthermore, often times their inputs are not compatible with our equipment, so therefore it is best they come prepared with their won audio source.
Most definitely. IF KARAOKE IS PURCHASED. Otherwise, we limit mic use to toasts and informational announcements only.
You should come prepared with a complete list of the songs you will be using on the planner for the traditional dances. If you feel we may not have them please provide them on a disc in mp3 format. You should also have a rough draft filled out of the planner and all members of your bridal party assigned with their partner. If you’re having a video tribute with pictures on our big screen, you should have those pictures at this meeting as well. Furthermore, full balance is due at this meeting. Preferred forms of payment are cash, check or money order. The week of the wedding we require cash or money order.
The planner sheets are presented to you at the time of booking. They outline the steps of the wedding and help you setup a schedule. We will review and help you fill out this planner in your final appointment a week or two prior to your wedding. We meet as close to the date as possible so that all details are as current as possible. This planner is due no more than one week prior to the event date.
YES! We do accept credit cards however there is a 4% fee charged. For that reason, we prefer check or cash.
NO. We arrive completely prepared to setup at your venue.
NO. We play the entire contracted time and do not require dinner but we do get hungry.
YES! We are happy to play as long as you like but your venue must approve the extra time. There is a charge for extra time played.
We show up at least 60 minutes prior to the start time.
YES! We actually do many ceremonies throughout the year prior to the reception. We play a 1/2hr. of prelude music while everyone is seated, then we play a processional and a recessional song for the bridal party to enter and exit to, finally we play some postlude music for the guests to exit. The fee for this service is $250.
YES! We are not only your DJ but also the master of ceremonies for your reception. As your M.C, we keep your guests well informed with any announcements that need to be made throughout the evening. We make sure it is at a sound level everyone can hear. It is important your guests know when your entering, cutting the cake and doing your first dance. These are just a few of the announcements we make sure are taken care of on your wedding day.
We dress in a classy suit. Since we are often the first person your guests will see when they arrive, it is important for us to look professional.
